Today’s QuickWrite of the Day:

Documentary photographer Robert Frank once said that photos must contain “the humanity of the moment.” 

At this moment, photographers around the world are capturing snapshots of strange sights in the midst of the current crisis we are living in: empty shopping strips, workers wearing masks, empty supermarket shelves. The Guardian Australia and Sydney Morning Herald have recorded what Australia’s major cities currently look like in pictures --available here and here. Take a look at the Sydney Morning Herald’s compilation of photographs below, from an article published on the 17th April titled ‘The big empty: deserted Australian cities in the wake of coronavirus’:
